Image of Leek and tahini crumble

Ingredients: 
1kg leeks
4 cloves garlic
45g butter
45g flour
570ml milk
2tbsp tahini
1-2tsp soy sauce
75g flour
75g oats
2tbsp sesame seeds
75g butter

Method: 

  • Slice the leeks and finely chop the garlic
  • Put 1tbp of olive oil in a pan and add the leeks and garlic
  • Cook gently for ten minutes then transfer to an ovenproof dish
  • Put the oven on at gas mark 6/200F
  • Make up the sauce by melting the butter and then stirring in the flour
  • Take the pan off the heat and slowly stir in the milk
  • Add the tahini and soya sauce and season well
  • Gently cook for a few minutes until the sauce is thick and pour over the leeks
  • Make the crumble by rubbing the butter into the dry ingredients with a pinch of salt
  • Sprinkle over the leeks and sauce and bake for 20 mins
